Tim Valka is the owner of Timmy’s DownUnder, a diving service that cleans and maintains boats in the San Francisco area. He is also the owner of a charter boat called Shanutski in San Francisco Bay.
Tim says that boats with Propspeed applied are “a joy to work with” and are generally better maintained. He does not have to use a hand scraper or a wire brush to remove growth, instead he simply gives the surface a quick wipe with his glove. “Very rarely do I need to use anything more than my glove to clean running gear with Propspeed,” says Tim. “If a boat doesn’t have Propspeed, I use a wire brush or hand scraper every time.”
The application of Propspeed also make it easier to notice if there is something wrong, such as unusual wear on the rudders or corrosion. Tim is noticing more boats applying Propspeed which Tim says “saves me plenty of time!
