About
Montkaj was launched in 1995 by Amels in Holland. Originally measuring at 246 feet, Montkaj underwent an extensive refit in 2000 which saw her extended by 10 feet. The superyacht sleeps up to 24 guests in 12 cabins and is powered by twin 12-cyclinder 2,525 hp Caterpillar engines, allowing her to reach a max speed of 18 knots and cruise at a comfortable 15 knots.
Samuel Thwaites, Second Officer on Montkaj, has found that Propspeed helps to keep the yacht’s running gear in top condition while also maximising performance.
