About

Auckland, New Zealand – Propspeed, leading innovator of underwater foul-release coatings, announced today the expansion of its European operations with the appointment of Gianluca Candelaresi as Sales Manager – Italy. Born and raised in Italy, Candelaresi will focus on delivering exceptional service to the Italian boat building and boatyard segment. A watersports instructor and sales manager in the Maldives, Candelaresi has first-hand experience in the marine industry. He is based in Senigallia.

“Matching the drive and passion for our industry that our entire team possesses, Gianluca is a welcome part of our European expansion,” said Chris Baird, CEO, Propspeed. “With the addition of his fresh perspective, we are looking forward to Gianluca’s impact in this vital segment.”

“Every member of the Propspeed family is dedicated to delivering the best products and service to each and every customer,” said Candelaresi. “I already feel at home with management and their strategic goals for the new year. I am eager to drive the brand to new successes in the future.”

“We are so excited to have Gianluca join our European team,” said Matt Forbes, sales director – EMEA, Propspeed. “Our presence in this region has never been stronger and we are confident that he will treat our Italian clients with the dedication, attention and level of service that Propspeed is known for.”

Propspeed’s ultra-slick topcoat is specially formulated to prevent marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline. It is proven to increase boat efficiency, protect against corrosion, reduce drag, save fuel and maintenance costs. It features an exceptionally strong chemical and mechanical bond between the metal substrate, the Etching Primer and the Clear Coat – ensuring that the Propspeed coating actually sticks to running gear, and any other underwater metals, and performs season after season.
