FLIBS 2021: "One of the best shows this year"

October 27^th marked the start of the 62^nd annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) and after a year away, we were excited to return this year! Held in sunny Fort Lauderdale Florida, FLIBS is recognised as the largest in-water boat show in the world. This year, the show featured more than 640 exhibitors and 680 boats from around the world and showcased the latest and greatest from boat builders such as Feadship and Benetti at the Superyacht Village. Spanning five days from October 27-31, the show welcomed over 100,000 visitors, with attendance and sales numbers surpassing those from 2019.

FLIBS had a particularly cheerful atmosphere this year with the show finally returning to normal after a difficult 2020. Propspeed USA – Rusty, Keith, Alan, and Bobby – had a busy show meeting current and future Propspeed customers and couldn’t have been more pleased with the turnout.

“FLIBS 2021 was one of the best shows we have had this year. Despite all of the concerns around lack of inventory, COVID issues, and industry attrition, it turns out that people are still keen to get out on the water and enjoy some quality time with the family. There were new and innovative offerings on the superyacht side, amazing sportfish yachts from Viking, as well as some of the highest performance center consoles we’ve ever seen,” said Rusty Morgan, VP of Sales & Operations – Americas. “We love having customers come by the booth and share their success stories with Propspeed and we also love hearing about all the new boats and projects that our customers are working on. It’s clear to me that Propspeed is the number one foul-release coating in the world. At the show, our products were on Rivieras, Cruisers, Vikings, and countless other custom yachts, and owners couldn’t have been prouder. What a great show to wrap up one of the best years ever in recreational boating!”

With the boat show season starting to wind down for the year, the team are enjoying a break before heading to Louisiana for Workboat in December.
