The transducers and underwater light were submerged in the Whau River, an estuarial arm of the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand, for 14 months. Propspeed’s Technical Manager, Gabriel Larribe, recently retrieved them from the river and rinsed them with water. The transducers and underwater light displayed heavy fouling on the uncoated left side, with the coated right side, clean and free of fouling.
