"We don’t get to see our family a lot so if we can do anything to help us get home faster, eat dinner, go see my girlfriend, my mom, my dogs, we’re going to do it."
Argo, a fishing boat built in 1949 in Fort Bragg, California, is currently used for salmon, crab, and black cod fishing in San Francisco, California. While a great piece of Californian history, Argo was making work difficult for the fishing crew, often cruising at a sluggish 5 knots.
Argo spends anywhere from 6-8 months of the year fishing, so the crew spend a lot of time onboard. Sooner or later, the slow speed of the old boat was bound to cause issues for the fishermen. “It’s like pulling your hair out, it’s not fun going 5 knots,” stated Wyatt.
