Propspeed is once again partnering with full-service shipyard RMK Merrill-Stevens, this time for the Miami Yacht Show, from February 15–19. James Maitland and Mark Billingsley will be walking the show and giving away a Propspeed foul-release kit per day—our professional 1-liter size—at RMK’s booth, C22-24. For your chance to win, simply stop by and drop off your business card.

Not to be confused with the Miami International Boat Show, which runs on the same dates, the event is being billed as the city’s premier luxury yacht show, with an all-new look and feel that includes a network of floating docks along Indian Creek Waterway. In-water displays of new and pre-owned vessels and five artfully designed show entrances will cover more than 1.2 million square feet of Collins Avenue, from 41st to 54th Street. For just $25 per person, attendees can expect to see some of the world’s most extraordinary and unique yachts and superyachts made by the industry’s most esteemed custom boatbuilders.

RMK has actually hosted Propspeed a few times now, appearing at Virginia Key as part of last year’s Miami International Boat Show. “We had a Propspeed sign and a display prop in their booth. They’re a great partner and a great Miami boatyard,” says James, indicating that RMK is continuing to invest heavily in upgrading its capacity for large yachts.

In the refit and repair business since 1885, RMK is now under new management and has just announced plans to add a new 100-ton travel lift. A state-of-the-art 2,700-ton ship lift is already under construction and set to be completed this year. Operating to the highest international standards, RMK meets classification societies requirements including ABS, Lloyd's, and USCG regulations.

James will be bringing us updates during the show, so watch this space. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek to whet your appetite. And if you’re in the Miami area, be sure to visit the RMK booth, inside entrance 3 on Collins Avenue.
